Maker’s Mark Distillery
Loretto, KY

Working on this project a creative collaboration with artist Aron Conaway, we were commissioned to create four pieces inspired by our prior series “The Uninviting.

These photos feature a landscape background from the Maker’s Mark Distillery in Loretto, Kentucky. We visited Maker’s Mark C.E.O. Bill Samuels for a personal photoshoot at their corporate office.  Samuels is well-known for his quirky antics and love of costuming. During the photoshoot, Bill transformed into the well known Kentucky legends of Colonel Sanders, Daniel Boone and Abraham Lincoln. Lastly, he introduced his distinctly wild Maker’s Mark character “The Mad Waxer”.

All four of these photos are currently held in the Maker’s Mark Corporate Art Collection.
