Art as Fun: Learning in the Guise of Pleasure.” [with Chang, C., Jang, C. and Lim, K.]. Art Education Association of Indiana, State Conference. Indianapolis, IN (2011). Research Panel.
This was a four-part research panel presentation at the Art Education of Indiana’s annual State Conference in 2011. In collaboration Chen-sun Chang, Christine Jang and Kyungeun Lim, we explored the topics of “fun” and “pleasure” as they relate to experiences with art or art education. Drawing on examples from our respective research projects, we presented varied cases and perspectives to provoke discussion and further thinking about intrinsic motivation (fun/pleasure) as a facilitator of engagement through which learning happens by proxy.
